Film buff's may recognize my reference point being Excalibur for this piece. I was trying to imagine the effect of the Fomorian invasion upon the regular people, the lords, ladies, peasants and so on. Whilst I was sure the Celt's heroes would rise to the challenge and form and army with Cuchulainn leading the onslaught, many would be required to stay and defend their lands and peoples, others would be in the more northernly provinces where the Fomorians first began to carve a foothold.
