SKINHELP SECTION - Quake3 Model Viewing

You MUST always check the progress of your skin ina Model Viewer. Without that ability its likely you will accidentally do some nice detail on an area of the skin that doesnt get shown well, or you could find that edges dont align and oyu have ragged large seams that will make your best efforts seem unprofessional.

Theres a number of Viewers in development. Below you can download the one I recommend and use myself.

Nphernos GL Viewer

Currently the Viewer of choice for me as it was in Quake2, the GL Viewer by Npherno is available for download here.(946Kb)

NOTE: this is an unsupported Tool. DO NOT email myself or Npherno if you have questions about it. Nphernos current intention is to see what everyone else builds and then build something that has features missing from those. If that situation changes I will notify people here as he will on Polycount.

Features :

Supports MD3 format. Supports Multiple Tagging system allowing you to construct full models/weapons/effect linked together at the same time.

Export of Wireframes supported. Will Allow you to double up the size of your skin for presentation shots for instance.

Theres lots of little custom effects to play with too, like additive shells, Environment mapping and lights.

There are limited instruction included in a text file inside the zip.(946Kb)
