Breendonk Concentration Camp

Breendonk is one of the most atmospheric places I visited in Belgium and has quite a history. Originally it was built by the British in WW1 and then buried after they abandoned it at the end of the war. In WW2 the Nazis took
over and made their Jewish prisoners dig it up before incarcerating them inside it.

It was then bombed again both by the British and the Belgians I think before it was liberated . Today, the Belgian flag flies proudly outside and thought it is open to the public is has been altered very little.

Massive bomb damage is still clearly visible and there is a true sense of history to the place. Quite simply,
the place has been through hell. I used the photos I took as reference and partly inspiration for creating my
Vendetta texture set which I will always remind me of BreenDock.
